KCF is a Gurdwara and is located in Pacoima, California, which is a historically low-income area. KCF is very aware of the community that surrounds us and knew that many families were struggling to simultaneously maintain a roof over their head and food on the table. We believe that no one should worry about whether they will be able to feed their children and family. To help combat this issue, KCF Food Pantry was established in October 2013. The pantry is open every Friday from 5:30pm-6:30pm and hands out food bags weekly to any family in need in the San Fernando Valley. These bags contain enough food for the week and include perishable and non-perishable items, such as cans, bread, cereal, pasta, fruits, and vegetables. The list goes on and we pride ourselves in having the resources to be able to continue this important seva. With the increase in unemployment and health concerns caused by COVID19, we want to remain an institution that our community (Sikhs and non-Sikhs alike) can rely on.
