Needs |
Teen Ambassador VolunteerProvides information and promotes 211 services & resources to their community.Community Awareness VolunteerHelping at outreach events in the community.Crisis Line VolunteerSupporting callers who are in distress (requires extensive training).Help Me Grow Program VolunteerThis program is designed to support questions and concerns of families, while providing access to resources and supports. Volunteers assist with making phone calls and doing intakes with families (requires good communication skills, bilingual a plus).Administrative & Data InputAssist with light office tasks & data entry (need basic computer skills).Sunshine Daily Telephone ReassuranceSunshine is a free telephone reassurance program to check on the well-being of seniors (60 plus), the homebound or disabled (can be younger). Volunteers assist by making calls to seniors & housebound individuals. Sunshine service is provided seven days a week between the hours of 7:30am & 5:00pm.Disaster VolunteerHelp out during natural & man made events- may need phone bank help. |

About us | 211 is a confidential, community helpline and crisis hotline service providing immediate guidance and support for individuals and families who find themselves without answers to problems they may face on a daily basis. An array of support and assistance, including information; assessment; advocacy; referral; and linkage to appropriate community agencies, as well as telephone counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention is provided. As the central gateway to health and human services, 211 collects, maintains, and makes available up-to-date resource information via phone, text, email, website, printed guides and directories. |
