CARP’s goal is to help break the cycle of hopeless addiction, dependency and resulting homelessness among Palm Beach County’s economically vulnerable residents. CARP provides compassionate, affordable recovery housing programs and wrap-around services for homeless men and women who are suffering from substance use disorder in Palm Beach County. CARP residences employ a peer-driven recovery model proven to be effective against addiction. Services include initial and ongoing assessment; 24-hour supervision; life skills training; participation in 12 Step recovery meetings; workshops to help remove individual blocks to recovery (e.g., low self-esteem); access to affordable healthcare; pro-bono legal guidance; job preparation, including access to career resources provided by local nonprofits (e.g., Career Source Palm Beach County); ongoing assessment and abstinence monitoring; and, coordination of aftercare plan. CARP collaborates with other Palm Beach County nonprofits, government agencies, and private sector firms to provide a holistic wellness solution that treats the body, mind, and spirit.
