Cat and Kitten Care at PetSmartWe have many adoptable kittens and cats at PetSmart in Athens, OH. We are looking for volunteers to spend a little time helping to keep everything neat and tidy. And yes, you get to play with kittens!! Email [email protected] for more information.Spay/ Neuter ClinicThe Athens County Humane Society hosts three- to four- spay/neuter clinics each month. Clinics are typically on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We are in need of volunteers to assist clients and their pets from: 8:30 a.m. to noon — Tasks include checking-in clients and their pets and assisting with paperwork. Noon to 4:00 p.m. —Tasks include monitoring pets post-surgery, assisting with paperwork, cleaning crates, calling clients to inform them their pet is ready for pick-up and reviewing post-op instructions with the owners. 4:00 p.m. to close (close is usually around 6:30 p.m. but can be later) — Tasks include monitoring pets post-surgery, assisting with paperwork, calling clients to inform them their pet is ready for pick-up, reviewing post-op instructions with the owners and clinic clean-up. Skills needed: Good customer service skills Ability lift and carry 20 pounds Ability to work as part of a team |
