TransportersDrive foster children and/or family members to and from appointments (Mileage is reimbursed).Resident CourierAssist residents to and from in-house therapy, activities, meals, etc.Office AssistanceGeneral office duties such as copying, follow-up calls, etc.Walks & TalksSpecial times with our residents in general visits, strolls when the weather is good, just some one-on-one conversation.Math TutorsWork with youth on math homework (All books are provided and you don't need to be a pro, just patient.). Mentors. Take the lead in supporting a young person through an ongoing one-to-one relationship, serving as a positive role model and friend (Requires a minimum commitment of 1 year with at least 4 hours per month).Small Group LeadershipBible studies, prayer groups, card clubs, etc.One-time OpportunitiesGarden/campus beautification projects (garden clean-up, planting, seasonal decorations, etc.), personal Memoirs for residents/families, special activities projects – holiday events, special outings, etc., clean toys for the family visit rooms, special painting project, or host a special occasion party.VisitsConnecting with those who cannot get out and about.ActivitiesAssist both with the activities department but also assistance with residents during shift changes.Community LiaisonConnect community groups that are looking for service projects (schools, youth groups, social outreach groups, etc.). |
