| Our mission | To provide an atmosphere free from domestic and sexual violence in which survivors can recognize their options to have the opportunity to continue living violence free; to educate our community and systems that domestic and sexual violence is primarily against women and children, and is the result of an imbalance of power and control; to provide on-going prevention programs and services to reduce the incidents of physical and emotional abuse against partners and children, therefore creating a healthier environment. |

Volunteer at the Diane Peppler Resource CenterVolunteers help provide 24-hour coverage of our crisis phone, as well as our shelter. Volunteers help to provide many other services that support our organization. Some of the ways you can help: events in the community (including fundraisers, awareness events, shelter events for clients, booths at community resource fairs, food distributions, hanging flyers or handing out pamphlets, etc); shelter coverage; crisis line coverage; shelter maintenance and cleaning; childcare for mom’s in shelter during work, appointments or group. |

| About us | The Diane Peppler Resource Center is a non-profit organization founded in June 1979. The Diane Peppler Shelter, serving Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac counties was established to offer fellowship, beds, warmth, transportation, food, clothing, and time to think in a secure atmosphere. Programs and Services offered for families and individuals who have experienced either Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence: emergency shelter and 24 hour crisis hotline, counseling and support groups, safety planning, children and teen services, and legal advocacy. |
