| Needs |
TutorAnyone who has the ability to read and is willing to help another person can be a tutor. A tutor works with a student “one on one”, to help that student learn to read at his/her own pace. New tutors attend a tutor training workshop to learn tutoring techniques. |

| About us | Carson City Literacy Volunteers helps adults and children in the Carson City area who have difficulty with reading by providing individualized instruction in reading and writing to those who are marginally literate or non-literate. Students work one-on-one with their tutor to improve their reading and writing skills. |
