Festival Footprint InitiativeIn 2018, we made a commitment to become a zero waste event. Implementing new three-stream waste stations requires guidance from individuals like you. We need volunteers to guide patrons when tossing out their compost, recycling, and landfill items. Both individuals and teams are welcome!Greeters At Top Of The ParkGreeters serve as the first line welcome for visitors entering the festival grounds. Responsibilities include answering questions, giving directions, distributing program guides, collecting patron donations, and most of all, making our guests feel welcome. Greeters typically work in pairs, so it’s a great opportunity to help the festival while making new friends or sharing the experience with old friends.UshersUshers provide a valuable service to A2SF by helping to ensure the comfort and safety of our patrons at ticketed performances. Responsibilities include greeting patrons, taking tickets, handing out programs, assisting patrons with finding their seats, and giving directions.Team Volunteer Opportunities At Top Of The ParkWe’re looking for groups to sign up as volunteer greeter teams at Top of the Park. Greeters play an essential role in the festival’s success by welcoming attendees, sharing performance information, collecting on-site donations, and most importantly, being the first and last smile seen. We need you! With different organizations and social groups volunteering every night, this is a great opportunity for your organization to give back to the Washtenaw County community. Each participating team will be assigned its own shift at Top of the Park Tuesdays through Sundays in-season. Teams volunteer in shifts from 5 to 7:30 pm or 7:15 to 10 pm. The festival goes until midnight – feel free to stay and enjoy!Street TeamHelp spread the word about A2SF! When you join the A2SF’s street team, you’ll help distribute important promotional materials such as program guides, brochures, and posters throughout the Washtenaw County area and beyond. Beginning in May, enjoy the ease of volunteering on a flexible schedule in the weeks leading up to First Friday and throughout the duration of the festival. |
