| Needs |
Dog Walking/Enrichment/TrainingWalk dogs around the shelter to give them time out of their kennels. Volunteers also help with enrichment toys to then be distributed to dogs in their kennels and basic training. Volunteers attend orientation and shadow one of our volunteers.Kennel MaintenanceVolunteers help out with maintenance tasks around the kennel to make sure everything runs smoothly and safely.FosteringFostering is a very rewarding opportunity. Fostering turns the community into an extension of the rescue, gets pets out of the kennel, and tells us their behavior in a home versus the overwhelming shelter environment.Fundraising and MarketingVolunteers help with planning and preparation for fundraising events and help get the word out about the rescue and special events.Transportation/Off-site adoptionTransportation volunteers assist with picking up/dropping off dogs going from the shelter to vet visits, to new foster homes, and to adoption events. |
