Food Packing VolunteerFood packing volunteers make it possible for Grandma’s House of Hope to provide food for children who are homeless or living in insecure housing. As a food packing volunteer, you will place non perishable food items into Nana’s Kidz bags to create meals for children. This event takes place on the first Saturday of each month.Volunteer TutorOur Hope Works! Education and Enrichment Center is open to residents of Cherry Orchard from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM Monday through Friday. We offer after school tutoring, creative workshops, workforce development, health/wellness classes and much more! We are looking for volunteers that have a passion for mentoring children and are able to help monitor activities and even aid in adult workshops.Adopt-A-Room VolunteerOur Adopt-A-Room volunteers help us bring warmth and comfort to the rooms of our transitional housing facilities. This opportunity involves purchasing new twin-bedding sets, inspirational wall art, curtains, and lamps, then delivering them to one of our houses and spending time decorating the room. It is a unique chance to visit one of our shelters and provide hands-on help to make our ladies feel at home.Host a Food DriveAs a food and/or supply drive host, you will be helping to supply Grandma’s House of Hope with the food or items needed to serve the women and children of Orange County. Hosting a food drive is simple! Let us know you’re interested and we will provide you the information needed to get started.Host a WorkshopWorkshop hosts are skilled volunteers who contribute their expertise and passion to provide a variety of workshops for our programs. Are you a teacher, nutritionist, or yoga instructor? Are passionate about something else you’d like to share? You can help provide our clients with new resources, skills, insights or hobbies. |
