Our mission	The Veterans Guest House provides United States military service veterans and their families temporary overnight accommodations when receiving treatment at a medical facility in the Reno-Sparks area.

Needs	Dinner Volunteer Many of our guests rarely receive a home-cooked meal, and are very appreciative when a dinner is provided . You can schedule your family or group to provide a weekday meal. (We ask that you plan to feed 20 people) One-time Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Indoor None Weekdays Event Volunteer Volunteer at events like Nugget at Hot August Nights and Best in the West Rib Cook-Off. One-time Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Event support On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Serve on a Committee The Guest House is managed by a volunteer board of directors and also has many committees populated by volunteers, e.g. finance, marketing, governance and special events. Serving on a committee is a great way to find out more about the organization and possibly serving on the board in the future. Weekly 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Help at the House The Guest House is a typical home needing to be cared for on an ongoing basis. There are beds to be made, laundry to be done and cabinets to be straightened. One-time 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Indoor None Weekdays

How you help

About us	The Veterans Guest House has a long history as the best-kept secret in Reno. The “Home Away from Home” is the only facility of its kind in the country serving U.S. military veterans in the way it is done at the Veterans Guest House. The House is privately funded and receives no government funding for its operations.
