Animal Care
| Description | We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us in the daily routine of cleaning, maintaining enclosures, and feeding several species of turtle, tadpoles, frogs, insects, a mouse, a gecko, and a pond life tank. You will learn what it takes to clean a tank, change filters, and some basic info about each animal. Our animals also need enrichment on a regular basis which includes animal interaction, such as basking time for the turtles or an outdoor walk, or creating enrichment animal specific “treats”. Individuals must be age 18 years or older. Time Commitment/Schedule: A minimum of one 3 hour session (Monday-Friday) a week (year-round); minimum of 6 months commitment required. |
