English as a Second Language (ESL) Tutor
| Description | ESL tutors help students learn how to speak English so they can navigate Grand Rapids more comfortably and expand their community. Students spend a portion of class together learning a lesson led by a teacher that is certified in teaching ESL, and then break into groups for additional practice with a tutor. This class meets on a weekly basis. Training is provided for volunteers. All people who are interested in volunteering must attend Session 1 of our Volunteer Training Program. |
