Debate Mate MentorTeach our curriculum, with resources provided by Debate Mate USA, to local students. We assign our mentors to Boston area middle schools, and you travel there to teach for one hour a week, for the duration of the program. |

| About us | Debate Mate USA is the sister organization of Debate Mate UK, a charity that began training university students to mentor and run after school debate clubs in low-income communities in 30 schools in 2008. Using a unique, modified style of British parliamentary debating, we provide an innovative and fun way for young people to increase their teamwork, critical thinking and communication skills. To augment the effectiveness of our teaching method, we use college students from the top schools in the country to act as debate mentors, providing powerful role models for young people, building their self-confidence and raising their aspirations. |
