Our mission is to provide shelter and adoption of companion animals, reduce overpopulation, extend humane education, prevent cruelty, and provide those services that promote the goals and polices of the Humane Society of Genesee County.

To Inspire Timeless and Trusted Relationships through a Common Passion for Canines, their Companions, and Helping our Communities.

The Shelter’s primary function is the rescue, sheltering, and adoption of stray and abandoned cats. Volunteers maintain, clean, and feed the animals and shelter facility.

To improve the quality of life and welfare for domestic animals and to provide a safe haven while finding life long homes for the animals in our care. We embrace the No Kill Philosophy, seeking to end the euthanasia of animals.

To reduce the number of homeless cats & dogs by paying for needed medical treatment and assisting with the permanent placement of these animals through our partnerships with local rescue groups.

Humane Network is a non-profit organization that helps non-profit animal welfare organizations, shelters and animal services agencies dramatically and responsibly increase animal lifesaving and create sustainable results.
