Whether you’re interested in volunteering regularly, or just helping out when you have the time, we’re grateful for your support. The following are some great ways to get involved: personalized time spent with individual or person supported by COC, yard clean up, gardening, painting, snow shoveling, deck cleaning and staining, or administrative office support.
Assist staff at the shelter with various tasks such as cleaning and organization. Mornings and evenings.
Our volunteers usher at performances, work in the box office, take tickets at events, help with office projects, archive historical records, and more.
Assist by completing service projects, maintenance projects, or organizing the kitchen. Minors in need of community service or volunteer hours for school, must be accompanied by an adult. Families with children 5 and older and supervised school/church groups of 6th grade and higher are welcome to volunteer.

Usher roles are ideal for those comfortable moving up and down stairs, navigating narrow spaces, and able to stay and observe the audience for safety issues throughout the entire performance. You must also be comfortable in low-light areas.
Assist staff around the shelter during early mornings or daytime with tasks such as laundry and organization.
Assist anytime with cleaning and organization at the Outreach drop-in center.
