This is what meals on wheels is all about – delivering a meal to seniors in our community and checking in to say hello. We need substitutes that can learn a route or two and step in when a driver can not make it.
Greet and welcome families and visitors to the House. Register families into our House. Answer phone calls. Handle calls from hospital personnel, families and visitors. Assist with mailings. Socializing and comforting scared, stressed animals or even the ones that are super friendly is vital to their quality of life and adoptability. We love when our volunteers spend one-on-one time with our dogs and cats. Many times we get dogs and cats that have shut down or are extremely timid and need some love…
Have car, will travel? Dogs and cats are often in need of medical attention and need transport to the vet for surgeries and drop off appointments. If you are able and willing to bring animals to or from the vet, please let us know!
