Assist as a docent at the two historic houses: Cappon and Settlers House.
Using your own equipment, take photographs of native flora and fauna, special events, and refuge staff and volunteers working in the field. Close up and macro photographs preferred. Photos are credited to photographer and become property of the refuge. Images may be used in a variety of outreach materials in print and on the web.
Help research and fabricate museum exhibits.
Assist with a variety of habitat management activities including forest rehabilitation and invasive species control. This type of work requires heavy physical labor in natural areas and in challenging environments. Volunteer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a listing of volunteers, assist in getting volunteers for various EFPN activities such as the postal drive and Balloon Fest collection, and after Thanksgiving collection. Being able to work with Excel is desired.

We keep a list of volunteers that we call to sort, count and shelve food when there are large community food donations.
We have three pantries in need of volunteers. HELP Pantry at Memorial Presbyterian Church and SAMS Pantry sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church, located at 503 S Saginaw Rd are client select pantries.
