These volunteers give of their time while their child is in class by sitting in the hallway during classes. Their job is to ensure students’ safety, monitor students’ behavior, and remind parents and visitors of the hallway procedures.

These volunteers are needed during the spring to help alter and/or create costumes for the Spring Concert. They usually work on projects while their child is in class or they take projects home to complete. Most of these projects involve minor hand sewing.

We typically have VIP’s and members of the media who need to collect their tickets for that performance. Your role would be to distribute the tickets to the appropriate party. A minimum of one volunteer will be placed in each of the lobbies of Reynolds Hall (2). As they distribute programs, these volunteers will be reminding patrons of the educational program Insights that takes place in Troesh Studio inside Boman Pavilion 45 minutes before the start of each performance.

Various departments may need office help from time to time. Duties would involve typing, filing, preparing mailings, prepare presentations, internet research, etc. Some project require computer literacy and it would by helpful if you were familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as the internet.

Parents of Academy students help NBT with the Children’s Cast as Check In/Check Out Table Volunteers, Runners, Backstage Child Wranglers, Room Monitors, Drop Off/Pick Up Attendants, Hair/Make Up Volunteers, and Wardrobe Volunteer.

Office volunteers provide invaluable support to our employees in the office. Though some tasks are time sensitive, we are happy to coordinate a schedule that maximizes your experience and adheres to your availability. Office Volunteers assist with phone call management, greeting our guests, and much more!

Opportunities also include child advocates, special events, e-flyer distribution, and education outreach services. Volunteers receive extensive training through out the year with law enforcement regularly.

Special Projects Volunteers participate in occasional activities fitting specific needs.
