The Facilities Attendant is ideally a handyman with general knowledge of facility management. Time to time LSSN needs basic repair services, which are very costly and could be avoided with the help of a committed volunteer.
The Janitor/Groundskeeper helps keep LSSN looking clean, professional, and ready to help serve our clients. General cleaning activities may include mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and general up-keep of the facility. Disposal of trash in offices, restrooms, kitchen, and outside areas is also expected.

Organize an on-campus campaign or event to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault. Hang flyers in your community about available services.
Host a holiday-themed activity at Penelope’s Place for the shelter families. Organize your workplace or community to donate toiletry items, home furnishings, baby items, and gift cards for residents in out shelter, families participating in Healthy Families, or individuals in the PASS program.
Meet with survivors in local hospitals to provide information, resources, and emotional support. Answer the 24 hour domestic and sexual violence hotline at A New Day. Co-facilitate educational workshops in the community. Represent the programs at outreach events by providing information to potential clients about our services.
