Pickers read a prisoner’s hand-written request and find appropriate books in our book store. Pickers are essentially personal shoppers for the prisoners. If you enjoy browsing in your local library or bookstore, this is the job for you! High school-level reading skills and a love of books are all you need to do this job.
We welcome corporate groups throughout the year to help organize and prepare our inventory. Volunteering with your co-workers can be a great team bonding experience. Groups can be scheduled Tuesday through Saturday.

Works with staff to: come up with fundraising ideas (live/silent auction, 50/50 and wine raffles), plan the event, find entertainment, advertise the event, sell tickets, decorate Function Hall, take pictures, assemble handout, and assemble gift bags.

Opportunities include: attending monthly meetings; distributing flyers, resource cards, poster, and community resource guides; helping us promote our RCFY discount cards; helping enroll local businesses to support our mission; hosting a focus group; speaking at events; and more.
