Promote teamwork and sports fundamentals as a referee or assistant coach in developmental sports leagues. Also, help with league planning and execution and support inclusive coaching for youth participants.

We ask different groups of volunteers to come with food for the shelter as well as arts and crafts or activities for the children on Thursday nights. It is family friendly, kids of all ages are welcome to attend with their parents.

Is your company, church group, or scouting troupe looking for a service project? Thomas House can always use the support of volunteers who can complete minor building maintenance and repairs, painting, light carpentry, or other projects as needed.

We also need volunteers to pick up furniture and other heavy items from donors. If you have a pick-up truck and some strong friends Thomas House could really use your support. Love to throw parties? Give the Thomas House children a day to remember by throwing a Birthday Party (once a month, Saturdays), or Holiday Party (Thursday evenings). Some holidays we celebrate at Thomas House include: Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Graduation, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Detail-oriented individuals are encouraged to help the Thomas House administrative team with mailings, database maintenance, filing, marketing, fund raising, office supplies orders, and more.

As a part of our effort to support hospitals, clinics and medical missions throughout the world and in preparation for our disaster relief response packages, Giving Children Hope receives donations of medical supplies in bulk. Help the Club take great care of our littlest members by assisting in our infant, toddler, or preschool classrooms. Preschool hours are 6:30am – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Community Outreach Volunteers are key to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease at community events. Community Outreach Volunteers represent Alzheimer’s Orange County at Health and Wellness fairs and community events, provide materials and basic information about our no-cost programs and services, and provide public awareness, education, and support to Orange County’s communities.
