spcaLA Volunteers will help teach shelter dogs basic obedience, provide enrichment activities and correct common behavior problems. There are several levels of training required depending on your involvement and interests. If you are between the ages of 12 to 17, you can volunteer with an adult.
Represent spcaLA at a variety of events (community fairs, expos, fundraisers, sports events, vaccine clinics, etc.), give shelter tours, and more! If you are between the ages of 12 to 17, you can volunteer with an adult.

Cut treats, prepare lesson plans, assist with workshops, give tours, teach lessons about compassion, data entry, etc. Prerequisites: Level 2 Class, with various specialized training from our Violence Prevention & Humane Education staff.
Teach children the importance of fruits, vegetables, and sustainable agriculture through curated games, crafts and scavenger hunts. Reports to Volunteer Coordinator and on-site manager. Primarily works outdoors under a canopy with some exposure to weather. Minimum commitment of one shift per month for 3 months.
