Playgroups are open to any family in the area with children birth through 4 years of age. The playgroups provide an opportunity for children and parents to play in an environment that is supportive and nurturing. Morning playgroups are offered in the communities of Houghton, and Mohawk.
Make phone calls to remind patients of their scheduled appointments. Hours: Variable.
Help on the planning committee or the day of the event. Annual events include: Time to Teal 5K Mother’s Day Event (May), Wheels & Teal 5K/Car Show – Rochester Hills (September), Shake Your Teal Feathers 5K/Car Parade – Grand Rapids (September), Tie Michigan Teal – Statewide (September), OkTEALber Virtual Celebration and Auction (October)
Participate in one or more of our ongoing activities: Awareness (education fairs, sporting events, etc.), Advocacy, Survivors Teaching Students, SPEAK: Survivors Promoting Early Awareness & Knowledge (Educational program in which survivors tell personal story of cancer journey.), Office support
SHF views Special Events as an integral piece of its overall giving strategy, while at the same time, strengthening relationships and partnerships with people and businesses all across the region.
