Protection Order Assistants, located in the Family Violence Intervention Program at Family Court, help victims of domestic violence complete and file Protection Order applications. They provide information about the application process, safety planning and community resources.
Shelter Advocates provide direct support and assistance to hotline callers and shelter residents. Duties include answering crisis calls, safety planning, screening callers for shelter and making appropriate referrals.
Groups prepare and pack healthy sack lunches that will be taken to local hospitals and medical facilities (by others). Residential Expansion/ Improvement Projects are great for 12-15 volunteers. Volunteers will assist with service projects that focus on improving NPHY’s housing facilities. Projects available may vary, but can include assisting us with assembling bunk beds and rearranging the client’s Independent Living and Emergency Shelter condos, painting projects, property maintenance/organization projects, beautification/restoration projects, and more.
