We provide the educational materials, a quiz wheel, giveaways, and signage — we need you to bring your enthusiasm, knowledge and outgoing personality! Komen New England has an ongoing need for admin support in our Farmington, CT and Newton, MA offices. Duties include answering phones, assisting with mailings, filing, data entry and other general clerical duties. Basic computer, phone and office equipment skills required. Good customer service is imperative.
If you are looking to develop leadership skills in your employees, we have a number of skill based volunteer opportunities in team building, project management and business communications. Some examples include: organizing clothing drives, fundraising events, inventory management, and mentoring.
Grounds and custodial volunteers help keep the facility clean and safe.
If you are looking to give back to your community or mentor someone attempting to become self-sufficient, then TFS has a variety of ways you can help; such as: personal shoppers for clients, inventory management, and workshop facilitation.
Help guide the agency, assist with fundraisers, and vote on organizational matters. Must be able to commit to quarterly meetings on Tuesday evenings. Must live or work in Rochester, be a current or retired business professional, and be well-connected in the community. Previous Board experience desirable, but not required.
Receive and sort donations, hang clothing, price merchandise, stock the shop racks, and light cleaning. Must be organized. No experience needed – Full training provided.
