Volunteers provide clerical or office support for the YMCA at the Welcome Desk or in a Department office. Assist the staff in planning and implementing Special Events and Fundraisers at the Y.

Develop a financial management program for students and adults. Give a mini-lesson in basic money management skills (i.e. balancing a budget, building credit, interest rates, food purchasing, real estate, etc.).

We run several Seeds of Faith Community Outreach Programs throughout the year that are only made possible because of the generosity of the men and women who volunteer their time, talents, and resources. Programs include the Back-to-School Program, Clothing Voucher Program, Operation Get Warm, Diaper Fairy Program, and more.

SeniorCare’s Volunteer Medical Transportation Program transports clients to local and out-of-town medical appointments. Transportation is available to self-mobile clients, age 60+ residing in the nine communities within SeniorCare’s jurisdiction.

Ombudsmen are trained volunteers with whom residents of long-term care facilities, or their families, can speak confidentially about matters of concern. Residents can discuss their quality of care, conflicts with staff, financial matters, food preferences, facility policies, and other issues. The Massachusetts Money Management Program is a free service that assists low-income elders who have difficulty writing checks, balancing their checkbooks and managing their money. The program helps those who might be at risk of losing their independence due to their inability to pay basic rent, food and utility bills on time.
