The Family Table program is looking for responsible, dedicated volunteers to work at the Marketplace one Tuesday and/or Wednesday each month. Volunteers help set up and restock food and assist clients as they sign in, choose their own groceries, and pack their own bags.
Administrative Volunteers assist staff with the day-to-day operations of the program. This includes helping with filing, mailings, calling clients to check in, and assisting with program events. Russian speakers may also be asked to help with translation.
The CHAI Works Day Program creates meaningful and fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities to lead productive and integrated lives in their communities and to increase feelings of self-worth and confidence. The program is looking for compassionate, responsible volunteers with special interests/talents/skills to share with and teach participants.

The Greater Boston Jewish Coalition for Literacy (GBJCL) mobilizes the Jewish community to help elementary school children discover the joy of reading. Through partnerships with synagogues, Jewish community organizations, day schools, and local businesses, GBJCL engages volunteers in school-based one-to-one reading tutoring, book drives, and advocacy efforts in under-served communities.
This program is a partnership with the Boston Public Schools (BPS) and enables adults to get a high school diploma rather than an equivalency. Classes in English, math, social studies, science, college and career readiness, and financial literacy follow a curriculum provided by BPS.
We are seeking volunteer assistants to provide direct outreach to immigrant communities throughout the Boston area for the English for Advancement program. In addition to learning more English, students will work with their career coach to develop resumes and cover letters, search for jobs, prepare for job interviews, and receive post-placement follow up.
Assist participants with finding gainful employment, work closely with Career Coach and instructors to support job preparation and administrative tasks toward this goal.
