Adults as well as high-school students are needed for shifts of 90 minutes each for homework help and tutoring after school at 3 different locations in Loveland.

Drivers are needed to pick-up food donations from food banks, local restaurants, and grocery stores. These fresh food donations are a healthy addition to the standard nonperishable food items. Pick ups typically take place in the morning, but scheduling varies Monday through Thursday.

Families Forward owns homes where families in crisis can live as they receive necessary services to get back on their feet. Occasionally, maintenance issues arise and we have a need for services from skilled professionals. In particular, we are looking for electricians, plumbers, contractors, and appliance repairmen who would be willing to donate their services.

Second Harvest relies on the help of skills-based volunteers to assist in our daily operations. Some examples of skills-based volunteers include: administrative support, front desk/reception, data entry, nutrition education, or other support opportunities based on your area of expertise.

Second Harvest’s Food Distribution Center (FDC) at our location in Irvine is the place where we make it all happen. Our staff and volunteers work together to sort, package and distribute enough food to feed 250,000 men, women and children each month.
