Interns in Kenya work primarily in rural settings and provide support to the community and its leaders. The interns also learn about the rich cultures of Kenya while sharing their own gifts, experiences, and insights. SOTENI’s goal is to enable interns to be AIDS-prevention advocates in both Kenya and their home countries.

Little Brothers–Friends of the Elderly celebrate the holidays with our elderly friends because this is when they can feel the loneliest. Interns in Cincinnati work on projects that advance the strategic goals of SOTENI International while gaining experience. Projects can include fund-raising, volunteer management, grant writing, and other administrative functions.

We need volunteers to assist us with the numerous pieces of work we do in our office. We could use the assistance of volunteers who are familiar with computers – doing data entry and filing. We also need volunteers who can answer the phone, assist with mailings.

Assist in setting up for lunch, overseeing students at lunch time, and cleaning up after lunch.

Occurs once a month at various places throughout the greater Cincinnati area. Assist the lead therapist in facilitating social interaction between teens, awareness of teens within environment, material preparation, and interaction with teens.

You will be asked to help with various tasks such as set-up, clean-up, handing out information, serving food, signing people in, or directing people to where they need to be.
