School, church, scouting and other organized adult and/or youth groups make great volunteers. We can work together to plan a day and time that best works for both our agency and your group.

Volunteers help in the following areas: Administration, foster care, education/training, adoption assistants, off site adoption events, animal socializing, dog walking, pet grooming, shelter cleaning, and rescue fundraising events.

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers who are interested in being involved with helping animals. We need volunteers for many jobs including animal care, customer service, fundraising, marketing and promotion, fostering, baking and sewing. There are many ways to help! We accept volunteers starting at age 11.

We welcome volunteers from the community to take part in our outdoor ministries including: restoring our forest, maintaining our prairie, volunteering at our Monarch Fest, helping in our community garden and food forest.

Youth volunteers may volunteer at Perry’s Place and for special events (excludes Petsmart locations). Volunteers in need of community service hours are welcome. Ages 13-17

Experience the inner-workings of an aquarium by becoming a Roundhouse Interpretive Volunteer! Our volunteers help us to create an inviting and educational atmosphere that connects our visitors directly with our oceans. Duties involve public interaction and interpretation of basic topics of marine biology and conservation. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.

Socialize, train and enrich the lives of the cats in our care throughout the day. This may include playing or relaxing with them, cleaning and feeding. Volunteers must attend a cat care and handling training. If you are between the ages of 12 to 17, you can volunteer with an adult.
