Assist with book sale
Whether it’s swinging a hammer on the build site, working on a Critical Home Repair project, assisting customers at the ReStore, volunteering in the office or serving on a committee, volunteers are essential to every part of our vision that everyone has a decent place to live.
Responsibilities may include: Purchase and deliver refreshments for events, photographing, greeting guests, set up/tear down, and serving refreshments.
Various crafting projects include making no sew blankets and cards for soldiers and senior citizens.
Make themed bags for birthdays and toiletries. Here is a list of items for the Birthday Bags: Plates, Napkins, Cake Mix, Frosting, Candles, Party Hats, Streamers, Balloons. Toiletry bags include deodorant, toothpaste, soap, etc.
Connect with local community organizations by volunteering to make a difference in the Southern Nevada community. Giving your time to sew back into the community allows you to connect with others who share the same passion to improve the community and lives.

Small groups are organized throughout the year to survey and mark HCT land boundaries. Help us monitor or maintain properties by visiting nearby sites to evaluate or address stewardship needs.
From planning in advance, to support the day of, volunteers make sure that educational and fundraising events continue to grow and reach new people across the Cape.
Monitor a local herring run by counting the fish as they climb to their freshwater spawning grounds. The commitment is small (as little as one-half hour each week). You will help provide much needed data on this once historically abundant, but now declining fish. The program runs from April to June.
