Set tables at the Older Adult Kosher Hot Meal Program, deliver meals to homebound seniors, make calls on Super Sunday, assist with community mailings, visit homebound seniors and residents of senior living facilities, bake, pack and deliver holiday packages to seniors

CATA volunteer opportunities have changed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please contact Kara Smith at [email protected] to learn more about our current opportunities. Our preference is for individuals who can make a multi-week commitment, though occasionally we also need volunteers for specific events and projects.

During warm weather months, Community Crew offers community members, alumni, and more an opportunity to participate in a monthly mural project. They take place on the second Saturday of each month in May – October from 10 am – 1 pm.

To support virtual learning, City Year is organizing opportunities for volunteers to share enrichment videos for students. These may include easy, at-home science projects, tips and tricks for career or financial readiness, or easy mindfulness or craft projects.

Coastal Foodshed is seeking volunteers to help us improve local food availability through our Mobile Farm Stand, Virtual Market and Farmers Markets. These weekly opportunities include everything from administrative work, marketing, promotion and hands-on work in our aggregation hub in New Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities can include: Pantry distribution, Grocery or meal delivery (license and car needed), Packing groceries, Packaging meals, Providing and/or serving meals (Great for businesses and service organizations), Tending and harvesting produce at our garden plot, and/or Fundraising events.

City Year Boston is fortunate to have champions in the community, and has a few opportunities for building support among your networks. You can organize a supply drive or at-home service workshops among friends or colleagues.

The Chinese Culture Connection offers many volunteer opportunities for those who are interested in helping the organization and its programs. Choices may include in the office, at after-school program, and at our events. Taking part in our annual events, such as Chinese New Year Celebration, annual gala, or Ping-Pong tournament or other community fairs.

Must be proficient in using American Sign language (ASL) and comfortable using Zoom platform. Each class has a leader/teacher and a co-host staff and there will be 15-25 participants in each class.
