Join us for the various volunteer opportunities listed on our calendar. Help with invasive species removal, landscaping, collecting litter, trail work, and other targeted needs. You can also teach water quality. (All ages welcome)
Help us remove non-native plants, replace them with locally grown native plants, and pick up trash left at the Preserve.
Greet new visitors and answer basic questions. Answer the telephone and provide general assistance to the Nature Center Manager and staff.
Assist in the daily cleaning of exhibits, preparing diets, feeding animals, observing animals, record keeping, providing enrichment and are responsible for keeping all animal areas clean and disinfected. Occasionally public speaking and animal handling is required. (Must be comfortable around turtles, tortoise, snakes and amphibians)
Provide a short story (2-3- sentences) about your experience at the Nature Center & Preserve to be featured in our quarterly newsletter.
We serve a free meal daily to our neighbors in need. Volunteer shifts start about 30 minutes prior to service so you can get outfitted with your nifty apron, gloves and hairnet. You will then be working on the serving line or passing out cups and utensils to our guests. A warm smile goes a…
