As a volunteer, you’ll assist us in staffing our various events throughout the year including demo day and conference.

We have a limited number positions available on our Junior Staff team. These youth serve as volunteers at our organization on a weekly basis throughout the year working in our program areas.

In response to the pandemic, Boston Cares has worked with our community partners to identify ways volunteers can support local needs from the safety of their own homes. Opportunities include DIY projects at home, virtual/phone support, tutoring, and capacity building roles, with more needs being added regularly.

After-School Homework Clubs focus on meeting the educational needs of low-income children from the Beverly community. Volunteers tutor students providing a positive and supportive environment in which the student can reach their full potential. The ideal volunteer will be flexible and patient while working with students in a small classroom environment.

The constant flow of donations makes the Thrift Shop a busy and exciting place to volunteer. Most volunteers find their own niche at the shop, be it sorting clothes, displaying items, marking housewares, helping at the register or keeping the shop appearance appealing to our customers.
