Counselors in Training (CITs) assist and support cabin leaders with leadership and guidance of campers. They live in a cabin with cabin leader and approximately 10 campers, and focus on camper safety and well-being, participation in all activities, camper personal growth, self-confidence and independence through group living. All volunteer applicants in Direct Service roles must complete the State Certified 40 – Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training. Once training is complete volunteer opportunities include: Childcare Volunteer, Hotline Volunteer, House Coordinator Volunteer, Case Management Volunteer, Transitional Living Center Volunteer, Legal Advocate, and H.E.A.R.T. Data Entry/Outreach Volunteer.

Non-Direct Service roles include: Administrative/Office Volunteer, Event Volunteer, Outreach Volunteer, and Resale Store Retail Volunteer. Duties include office work, event planning, set up, and take down, and assisting with the daily operations of the Resale Store.

Volunteers receive, sort, and tag donations of men’s, women’s, and teen clothing, and prepare the donations to be distributed to adults in need throughout Orange County. If you have an eye for fashion and love to organize, then this is an opportunity for you! This is a great opportunity for groups!
