Volunteers can help with our three programs – food pantry, client services and the thrift store.

A volunteer can be as involved as their time allows. We welcome your time and your dedication. Whether you choose to just come in when you have some free time or you want to set a designated day each week, it is entirely up to you.

Each year, Day of Caring volunteers work on improvement projects for Auglaize County; these services are available for all qualifying non-profit organizations, community recreational facilities, historical sites, and other relevant areas. The projects consist of activities such as landscaping, painting and repair.

Help us help the Los Angeles Community! The Better Neighbor Project hosts several free pet food pantries across Los Angeles each week, and we need help packing bags of food to hand out at events!

Provide valuable office and clerical support. Duties include filing, word processing, mailings, distribution of printed materials, research and data input.

Assist with the staffing the Museum’s special events, including occasional evening events, fundraisers, holiday-themed events and locally sponsored free days.

Write notes/cards and/or draw pictures for seniors in nursing homes (purchased by READ or on your own) at your own pace and place; bring cards to the READ Office or call when they are ready to be picked up from your home; ongoing.

Volunteers for Hidden Harvest are needed when we have fresh produce that needs to be sorted. Volunteers are needed when we host food distributions.
