Your group will learn new skills, meet new people, and give back to your community. We have projects for volunteers of all ages, skills, strengths, and capabilities! No previous experience required! Be prepared to play in the dirt, do some minor lifting, and have an exciting group bonding experience.

The California Trail Center seeks volunteers to demonstrate traditional Great Basin Indian lifeways, both indoors and outdoors. Examples include Indian beadwork, traditional Native foods, and basket making.
The education program at the Trail Center is wide and varied. Some volunteer educators teach students about pioneers and the California Trail. Others utilize our 40 acre site to focus on outdoor environmental education programs, and teach students about Great Basin biology and geology.
Assist with Special Events and Fundraising.
YAH host multiple special events throughout the year. For each of these, we usually have a need for volunteers to assist with setup and cleanup. Hospice volunteers are a unique gift to the hospice and to the patients. Volunteers commit to holding the hand of a patient when they are alone, laughing with patients and loved ones during moments of reminiscence and providing a shoulder to cry on when caregivers need support or patients need a friend.
