One of the best motivators for young men of color is seeing successful African American male leaders and hearing their personal stories of perseverance, accountability and overcoming obstacles. Just one interaction with a positive role model can spark a lifetime of motivation for our young Mentees.

Participate in mock phone and video-based job interviews with students and provide them with constructive feedback. Share your experience and wisdom to help our students prepare for the real thing. This one-time commitment typically happens for one to two hours in April or May.

Help students explore careers by participating in a virtual career day. Students will ask you questions about your education and career. This one-time commitment if for one hour with opportunities throughout the year.

We ask Volunteer Receptionists to commit to answer and make phone calls and perform various office tasks for four hours once or twice per week. Additional volunteer opportunities including help with filing and mailings have flexible hours and dates.

The Goodwill Inn provides year-round emergency shelter to over 500 individuals and families experiencing homelessness each year.
