Volunteers will greet, guide, and offer assistance to patients, visitors, and staff on nursing units and throughout the hospital. Volunteers may assist discharging patients, utilizing wheelchair, escort assistance, and rounding patient rooms and patient areas.
Volunteers work with local teachers to provide student tours of local historic sites and museums, classroom visits, and special presentations. The Auglaize County Historical Society also provides educational opportunities for educators themselves, such as teacher institutes.

As a Community Outreach Volunteer, you will help identify and coordinate (in conjunction with staff) outreach events and activities including; attending fairs and community events, tabling booths, networking meetings and more to help connect the community with services for both external and internal community.
Volunteers perform many important duties. Whether providing companionship in a patient’s home, greeting guests at an inpatient center, assisting with a special event, or handling other meaningful tasks — volunteers play a vital role that enables the hospice to more fully meet the community’s needs.

The Construction Committee is responsible for delivering the principal product of this ministry, the house. Because of the technical requirements of home building, this committee should have at least a few professional builders as members. Because of the rich partnership opportunities that come from building it should also include members with excellent people skills.
Identifying partner families who will become the beneficiaries of the covenant partner’s work. The tasks involved in doing this include developing the selection criteria, identifying the population in need, promoting the program among that population, creating the application process, and processing applicants.
