Volunteers are needed to help sort donations and run the store on Tuesdays 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Wednesdays noon-3pm Training is available.
Volunteers do everything from checking in/out students, to fitting them for and helping them select shoes.
Anyone is welcome to pitch in to help keep our preserves up to snuff. Plus, it’s a great way to meet other conservation-minded folk!
Office maintenance, stuffing envelopes, data entry, weeding the flower beds — less glamorous volunteering for which we are grateful nonetheless!
Mentors are volunteers who build a relationship of unconditional caring and friendship to help refugee teens learn independent living and social skills. As positive role models, mentors share their knowledge and experience to help the youth adjust to differences they experience in the United States. Mentors also help them explore educational and career choices.
Your youth group, church, family or group of friends can organize a service project. Hold a bake sale and donate the proceeds to senior adults. Organize a toiletry drive or clothing drive to help incoming refugees.
Befriend seniors, help those with physical disabilities.
Set up an apartment, or help an incoming refugee learn to ride the bus through our New Americans program.
