Help ensure that Y wellness areas are welcoming and inviting. You’ll assist members with questions, maintain an organized and clean center, and create a friendly and engaging space for all.

Each year, the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids’ Annual Campaign reach out to families both with the Y and the community to raise support for our programs. Staff, leadership, members, small businesses, and large corporations all ensure that the impactful program work of the YMCA addresses significant needs in our communities. Ages 18+.
Coach a team or be a program assistant with any Y youth sports programs. No previous experience required. Hours are based on program times. Must be age 14 or older.
Community Board Members improve Y locations by helping with program innovation, fundraising, events, and community involvement. Visit or contact your Y location to get involved.
Stewardship opportunities include: volunteer workdays (plantings, Earth Day, etc.), preserve monitoring, kestrel nest box monitoring and stream monitoring.
Assist with the operation of the WLAC by joining a committee, volunteering at public events, or assisting in the office.
We’re seeking volunteers to engage in a variety of community programs and outreach initiatives throughout the year.
We strive to develop cooperative relationships that advance water quality and nurture Northern Michigan’s local economy. With input from local, regional and state sources – such as governments, nonprofits, funders, program participants and residents – the Watershed Council is able to address the needs of the communities we serve.
