Located throughout Los Angeles. At this program, which supports Jewish families that have children with special needs, volunteers can work on a warm line to provide referrals, or visit families to offer emotional support. Home visitors require special training.
Located in the Valley. Volunteers participate in social programs for developmentally disabled adults 18 and older. They can also accompany members on trips, or lead classes.
Located at Park La-Brea. Volunteers assist residents by providing information and referral to community resources, visit clients in their homes, or help with activities. Home visitors require special training.
Kitten Rescue couldn’t survive without the help of our volunteers! We are always looking for help at the KR Sanctuary (animal care and other tasks), at our various pet store enclosures, with transportation, at special events, with fundraising, and for many other projects.
Located in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood and Valley areas. Volunteers pack groceries, stock shelves, help with intake, or assist at the resource center. There are also volunteer opportunities to create centerpieces (Baskets of Hope) or assist with home delivery of food bags.
Located in the San Fernando Valley. Volunteers help at one of two domestic violence shelters, assisting with: child activities, grocery shopping, answering our “information” hot line and participating in special activities. Family Violence Project volunteers require a special training that JFS provides and is mandated by the State of California.
An errand and escort program for West Hollywood and Park LaBrea seniors. Volunteers accompany clients on shopping trips twice a month.
