To serve on a Disaster Action Team and help provide 24-hour immediate support and assistance to individuals and families who have been impacted by a home fire or other local disaster. Works as part of an assigned team to respond to local disasters within two hours.

A Community Volunteer Leader is a single point of contact for a community or collection of communities with the primary goal of connecting the community with the Red Cross mission. This position requires 10-20 hours per month and a commitment of at least two years.

We offer enrichment activities that are fun and engaging for our kids. Activities such as, ballet classes, karate classes, zumba for kids, creative science classes, knitting class, make a movie class, photography class, painting class, music class, and board games are examples of enrichment activities. Monday thru Friday from 4:15-5:00 pm.

Volunteers are needed to set up, breakdown, greet, serve, register, and serve as live auction runners and live auction spotters.

Volunteers are needed to assist in the pantry to sort and/or pack meals during scheduled open hours and sort thrift store donations. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 9-11 am & Thursday 1-3 pm.

Each Docent leads a small group of children, grades 3-6, two or three mornings a month on a two hour tour, generally from October to mid-June. There are two types of tours offered Tuesday through Friday mornings, one focusing on the dynamic plant collections and the other on our rich local history.

Middle school mentors meet with their mentees once a month during the EmpowHer class at the school site. Mentors for this age group are the key to early-age intervention and creating future success. Mentors support their mentees as they work on developing character, confidence, self-esteem, and life skills. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours, once per month.
