Volunteer to help facilitate our after school programs for kids and teens.
Assist in the daily cleaning of exhibits, preparing diets, feeding animals, observing animals, record keeping, providing enrichment and are responsible for keeping all animal areas clean and disinfected. Occasionally public speaking and animal handling is required. (Must be comfortable around turtles, tortoise, snakes and amphibians)
Assist with setting up kennels, caring for animals and talking to prospective adopters.
Provide a short story (2-3- sentences) about your experience at the Nature Center & Preserve to be featured in our quarterly newsletter.
Provide literature to the public on FAWG, adoption and spay/neuter programs.
In our animal care program, we have three volunteering levels that interested volunteers can learn and progress through. All volunteers begin working within the animal care program by learning “the basics,” and depending on your desire to learn and the time you have available, you can become proficient and confident in rehabilitation. Offers hospitality to grieving loved ones by providing a lunch or reception following funerals and memorial services at the church.
Prays for all those who make a prayer request on Sundays and throughout the week.
Members provide meals for individuals and families in our congregation in times of need–after a birth or death, during an illness or recovery from surgery.
Join us for the various volunteer opportunities listed on our calendar. Help with invasive species removal, landscaping, collecting litter, trail work, and other targeted needs. You can also teach water quality. (All ages welcome)
