Become a long term volunteer mentor to a young person in foster care. SLM mentors have the opportunity to build meaningful connections and support youth in learning essential life skills, including financial literacy and work-readiness in preparation for adulthood.

Babysit with SFS. By spending a few hours a week playing with a mother’s child you will allow the mother to become economically independent and break out of the poverty cycle. Background checks and training are required.

Sort meat, produce, pastries, and bread donations from Hannaford four mornings a week and on Thursday afternoons. Stockers are also able to sort and shelve nonperishable food items from food drives and donations. Stockers should be physically flexible and able to lift 25 pounds.

Pick up the weekly order at the NH Food Bank on Mondays and donations at Hannaford on Fridays. Drivers must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Team Leaders are needed for each Food Pantry session. They are responsible for overseeing the session, coordinating the volunteers, and assisting with clients.

Provide contacts and ideas for funding sources, help organize and publicize events, or make an event of your own. This can be a one-time event or an event that takes place on a regular basis – your idea in action!

Volunteers come on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays during the evening and Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoon. We also have a Seniors Pantry the fourth Thursday of the month in the morning.
