As a volunteer advocate you will serve as a confidential source of support and information for those affected by sexual and domestic violence through our 24-hour hotline. In addition, advocates accompany survivors to the hospital directly after an assault has occurred or to the police station to report a crime.
Learn how to spread the word about HAVEN services and prevention education programs and help us fulfill our mission of Ending Violence and Changing Lives. Outreach volunteers may also assist HAVEN by distributing outreach materials to various businesses, hospitals and other agencies in Strafford and Rockingham Counties.

Volunteer ombudsmen visit and listen to residents’ concerns as well as problem-solve. Many residents of long-term care facilities sometimes have little or no contact with the outside world and some have few visitors.
