Hospice Volunteers assist caregivers and family members with household chores or simply to provide companionship and respite care for family members. We offer an 8-week volunteer training program that focuses on how to provide comfort, support and a reassuring presence to Hospice patients and their families.
The Senior Companion Program is a federally-funded volunteer program. The program’s mission is to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to active adults age 55 years and older serving homebound elders and adults. Adults, teens (13-17), and children (8-12, accompanied by adult) are needed to sort and package donations of clothes, toys, and baby equipment. We have two locations to choose from: Boxford (clothes and baby equipment) on the 1st Saturday of each month or Middleton (toys) on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
VolunTEENs sort and package clothing donations, help with building maintenance, assist social service representatives, and prepare toys for Twice Loved Toy sales. Tweens (ages 11-14) are welcome to volunteer but have to be accompanied by an adult.
