As a volunteer, you’ll come in on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and provide a consistent, caring connection by phone for people living with HIV/AIDS. Each volunteer has a set of clients they develop relationships with over time. You’ll complement our case management services by helping clients work through problems and encouraging their successes.
Boomerangs offer both individual and group volunteer opportunities at our Dedham Distribution Center. While sizing, tagging, and hanging clothing you can channel their inner fashionista and build comradery with their fellow team members. Every garment that is prepared for sale helps to secure critical funding for client programs at the AIDS Action Committee.
Each Monday Acord receives deliveries of milk, cheese, yogurt, and donated items from The Greater Boston Food Bank. Help unload the truck and help restock the pantry.
Pick up donations at our 2 collection bins located at the HW Public Library and the Hamilton Police Station.
Acord is open to clients 3 days a week. Each Wednesday morning, Thursday evening and Saturday morning a team of volunteers distributes 3 days worth of food to our families.
Acord is often in need of a photographer, IT support, or other various jobs throughout the year.
