Assist with property facilities maintenance: painting, interior decorating projects, repair work, etc. Assist with grounds maintenance: landscaping, yard clean up, and special projects as needed.

Provide appropriate crisis intervention – empathetic listening and empowerment counseling. Provide appropriate referral information to callers about community agencies. Thoroughly document crisis/referral calls on appropriate forms. 40 hours of training required.

Our Shelter Pals work with the agency’s adoptable animals, socializing cats and walking dogs. HSSCM accepts volunteers of all ages; individuals must be 16 years or older to volunteer without a parent present.
